Trends in information management, especially as regards the laboratory, scientific and healthcare industry, are a real influence on directions and decisions in the community. These include[1][2]:
  • an increasing integration of devices (IOT - the Internet Of Things), systems, apps and databases;
  • the automation of processes to improve speed and accuracy and reduce complexity; and
  • the desire for more analytics in order to better monitor performance and increase competitiveness.
In turn, the successful informatics players have looked to improve interfacing and automation methods, and deliver more and better analytics. Standardization of protocols, availability of APIs, EAIs, and other strategies work to achieve those goals.[3][4] LabLynx is right in the thick of these innovations.
