Reporting
Patient Report with Range
The most common report is an Order Report, also called a Patient Report, including ranges for each analyte and high/low or in-range columns. CLIA requires it to include the requestor's name, patient sex, age or DOB and specimen collection date and time and normal range of values. The federal regulation 42 CFR 493.1291 - Standard: Test report requires patient name and unique identifier (usually DOB or MRN), lab name and address, report date, tests performed, specimen source if appropriate, results and units and/or interpretation, and specimen condition/disposition comments as applicable. The Laboratory Director and CLIA number are also commonly displayed.
Your HealthCloudPOL Patient Report will look similar to the example below, by default, with your own information in the header. If you would like any further modifications (and have a Standard edition subscription), these can be carried out by a LabLynx, Inc. Solution Provider or support staff. Just include any changes in your initial scope or submit a ticket to the Help Desk at any time.
This report, once approved/issued, is automatically archived in the LIS and stored until intentionally removed from the database. Any such archived reports (as well as those awaiting approval and issue) are quickly and easily retrieved, so that CLIA retention and retrieval standards are met.
Retrieving Archived Report
________________________________________________________________________________
At the end of the day, laboratories really only exist for one reason: to produce results reports. They are a means to an end rather than an end in themselves. A timely, accurate report of assay results is essential to diagnosis and treatment.
In addition to the Patient Results Report or Order Report, there are other reports that are important for the Physician Office Laboratory, some to meet regulatory standards like CLIA.
Here are some examples of reports included with HealthCloudPOL or available as options that are extremely helpful for the POL:

Quality Control Levey-Jennings Report
CLIA requires that Levey-Jennings or other graphs are generated regularly for quantitative assays to fulfill QC requirements. HealthCloudPOL helps you to meet that requirement with its included Levey-Jennings QC Reporting feature. QC control results are easily tracked and graphed so that correct calibration and thus accurate specimen results are maintained. Your QC Levey-Jennings Report will look similar to this, with applicable ranges and parameters/analytes:
CLIA Report
The CLIA Report is simply a count of the number of assays run, by type, over a given time frame. This can be produced at any time in HealthCloudPOL. Here is an example:
Confirmation/Drug Report
A report that just indicates positive or negative, with values shown above a cutoff, is available as an option with a HealthCloudPOL subscription. If your lab uses this, then your report will look similar to this:
Billing Report
Typically POLs need to pull up a daily Billing Report that shows all of the orders for that day, and what assays were run, so they can reconcile it with their invoicing. HealthCloudPOL's Billing Report is quick and easy to run for any given date range, not just that day:
Worklist/Pending/Overdue
The Pending List is an on-screen report where the logged-in user can see all outstanding accessions assigned to them (if assays are assigned to all users, then all will display). This can be exported as an Excel file if desired.
Accession Specimen Label
Specimen labels are supplied with barcode already included, so that with the investment in a hand scanner (~$150) and label printer (~$350) you can ensure accurate tracking.
TAT (Turnaround Time)
Maintaining quality standards is an important requirement of CLIA and good practice management. The TAT report is a useful part of monitoring performance metrics, and can be included with HealthCloudPOL.
