Employee Spotlight – Stephanie Pate

Dr. Stephanie Pate is a Senior Application Engineer at LabLynx. In her role, she assists clients in building a lab informatics suite that is tailored to their needs. She guides them through the application building process from project conceptualization through training and implementation. According to Dr. Pate, her favorite part of her job is when a client goes live with their system.

“It is truly special when a client site launches and goes live. After working with clients through the application development process, it’s a joy to watch them apply the system we’ve developed together and see the positive impact it has on their daily work function,” Dr. Pate said.

Prior to her time with LabLynx, Dr. Pate spent 15 years in the laboratory environment as a Senior Product Scientist for a research lab, an academic researcher in molecular biology and a laboratory science instructor. In addition to her professional experience in the laboratory setting, Dr. Pate also received her PhD in Cell and Molecular Biology with a focus in acute phase inflammation in atherosclerosis from the Boston University School of Medicine.

Outside of work, Dr. Pate enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons. On the weekend, you can find Dr. Pate boating on the lake, fishing at the farm or cheering her boys on at the baseball field.
