About Your Role
The LabLynx Business Development Representative (BDR) is often the first point of contact for potential new customers. In this vital role, you are the "lead generation engine" as well as the minder for our sales pipeline, driving growth through targeted outbound phone and email campaigns, as well as instant responses to incoming potential sales opportunities, setting up and attending sales meetings and exercising outstanding diligence in follow-ups - ensuring nothing falls through the cracks! You'll be the face and voice of LabLynx, introducing laboratories worldwide to solutions that can transform their operations.
What You'll Do
- Serve as the first point of contact for potential LabLynx customers, making a lasting positive impression
- Generate qualified leads through proactive outbound phone and email campaigns
- Reach out to prospects who may not be familiar with LabLynx or our LIMS solutions
- Uncover business issues and pain points that our laboratory software can address
- Educate prospects about how LabLynx products can alleviate operational challenges
- Qualify early-stage opportunities and schedule meetings
- Build rapport, trust, and credibility quickly with potential clients
- Tell the LabLynx story compellingly and match client needs with our solutions
- Maintain strong CRM discipline by documenting all activities, conversations and opportunities in HubSpot
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic through ownership and diligence in follow-ups, nurturing relationships
- Create detailed records that help the team understand prospects, their needs, and pipeline status
- Manage multiple opportunities and conversations simultaneously with energy and organization
- Collaborate with the rest of the sales team to ensure smooth cover and handoffs, and successful outcomes
What You'll Need to Get the Job Done
- 1-3 years of customer-facing outbound and inbound sales experience
- Sales and customer-first mindset with excitement about solving business problems
- Comfort with cold calling, email campaigns and starting conversations with prospects who aren't expecting contact
- Excellent presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Strong CRM discipline and understanding of pipeline management
- Ability to document activities thoroughly and create useful records for team analysis
- High energy, speed, and exceptional organizational skills
- Ability to juggle multiple opportunities and maintain systems to stay organized
- Accountability and goal-focused approach to work
- Resilience and ability to weather ups and downs in a fast-moving environment
- Love for learning and strong desire to progress
What Will Make Us Really Love You
- HubSpot CRM experience with proven track record of maintaining clean, accurate data
- Science or laboratory knowledge that helps you speak credibly with laboratory professionals
- Technology savvy with quick learning ability for new software and systems
- Experience in B2B SaaS or software sales environment
- Background in healthcare, life sciences, or laboratory industries
- Demonstrated success in lead generation and pipeline development
- Track record of meeting or exceeding outbound activity metrics
- Strong understanding of laboratory workflows and pain points
- Previous experience qualifying leads for enterprise sales teams
- Passion for technology and helping organizations improve through software solutions
